The City

Aranda de Duero is a spanish town with a population of 32.000 people.  Is the capital of the Ribera del Duero wine region.  The town is unique because it has wine cellars that interconnect below the streets of the city centre.  Aranda de Duero is popular for its wines, nices bodegas.

You don’t have to worry about getting lost in the town, it’s size is ideal for a comfortable stay.

Cons:

It’s small size may be also a disadvantage, if you look for cosmopolitan city.

How to get to Aranda de Duero

There are international airports in Madrid, and Valladolid.  You can take a bus, or a train to Aranda de Duero.
By bus form Madrid the journey takes about two hours, and the ticket costs 9,55 euros.  There are daily four buses to Aranda from Madrid.  If you choose this option, you can find the timetables here : http://www.continental-auto.es.
If you will decide to come from Valladolid by bus, you can find the timetables here: www.linecar.es.  There are three buses per day from Valladolid to Aranda de Duero.
