O Grove is a seaside vilage with a population of 12,000 people. It is on a peninsula at the Galician Rías Baixas (bays). Fishing and sea-cultivation are the main occupations, in addition to attending to the tourists, mostly Spanish, who come to this village well known for its numerous beaches and its food, mainly based on fish and sea-food. A Toxa Island, linked to the village by a bridge, is famous for its spa. It is easy to feel comfortable in O Grove and to get into conversation with the locals.
