O Grove

The City

O Grove is a seaside vilage with a population of 12,000 people. It is on a peninsula at the Galician Rías Baixas (bays). Fishing and sea-cultivation are the main occupations, in addition to attending to the tourists, mostly Spanish, who come to this village well known for its numerous beaches and its food, mainly based on fish and sea-food. A Toxa Island, linked to the village by a bridge, is famous for its spa. It is easy to feel comfortable in O Grove and to get into conversation with the locals.

  • Vigo: a 54 Km. You can come on bus with Monbus company and by car by A-9 High Way and V.R. 4.1. Via Rápida.
  • Santiago de Compostela: 72 Km. You can come on bus with Monbus company . Coche. A-9 High Way and V.R. 4.1. Via Rápida.

By car: We recommend to enter Galicia by A-52 High Way. Ourense, Vigo A-9, Pontevedra,V.R.4.1, direct to O Grove.

By tren-bus: Nearest railway station: Vilagarcía de Arousa, 30 Km from O Grove. Buses to O Grove: Monbus company.
