Our Spanish Courses in Valladolid
INTENSIVE COURSES
Our intensive courses are designed for all students over the age of 14 wanting to begin or improve their skills in and knowledge of the Spanish language and culture.
On the first day, students do a short test so that we can place them at the level that is most adapted to their knowledge. There are five levels: Beginners, Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced and Proficiency.
The maximum size of our classes in 6 students per group and the purpose is to make the classes more efficient and to help everybody progress quickly and get a special attention from the teacher.
Our intensive courses are made up of 20 hours a week in the morning or afternoon, depending on the time of the year and the level.
IMMERSION COURSES
Immersion courses are aimed at the Spanish students who have little time and need to progress in a relatively short time.
Our school recommends this course to students who have a basic knowledge of the Spanish language.
The immersion courses involve 30 hours a week. After a short placement test, students are put into small groups of a maximum of 6 and receive 4 hours a day as part of the intensive course and, later, a further 2 hours a day in individual classes or in classes with a very small number of students.
DELE COURSES
The Diploma de Español Como Lengua Extranjera (D.E.L.E.) is the only officially recognized title in Spanish. It is awarded by Instituto Cervantes and recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
Since it was opened, our school in Valladolid has offered a specific course for these examinations. Depending on the chosen duration, the course begins 4 or 8 weeks before the exam. The course comprises 20 hours a week and the content is aimed exclusively at preparing students for the exam. We use only our own material and official past examination papers, with excellent results.
The school also offers a complementary course for students on any of the courses given at the school. This course adds 10 hours a week exclusively aimed at preparing the D.E.L.E., given in a timetable that is compatible with the main course.
SUMMER COURSES
The summer courses offered at our school in Valladolid are aimed basically at groups of university and secondary school students.
They offer sound academic training together with a wide variety of extracurricular activities aimed at the full enjoyment of summer: trips out and about, excursions, sports, music concerts, outdoor cinema, etc.
Besides the classes and activities, the summer courses include accommodation in the university residences in Valladolid, with full board, for the four weeks the course lasts. Similarly, when groups include more than 10 students, an accompanying teacher from the institution sending the students, together with return transport from the airport of arrival (Valladolid or Madrid) to the city, is included free of charge.
ONE TO ONE COURSES
Our one-to-one courses are designed for students requiring a highly specialized and intensive course.
These individual courses can be given on a standalone basis or as a complement to any of the other courses given at the school.
The one-to-one courses adapt to the timetable and requirements of the student.
SPECIFIC COURSES
Our specific courses are aimed at providing more detailed knowledge of subjects and areas which, although not directly related to the learning of a language skill, are interesting for students of the Spanish language.
These courses include Spanish Literature, Art, History, the World of Wines (Oenology), etc., with varying durations and aimed at various language levels.
They are complementary to the other courses offered by the school.
